Buglist

The Noctuid Moths (Noctuidae) of Central Europe.

Bugs and Problems
Despite numerous test environments, ranging from Windows 95 to XP, installed together with different browsers and configurations, it is not possible to test every single combination in the laboratory.
And, to our regret - as you may have already experienced - no software is perfect. Despite all given care and all undertaken tests our product contains a few minor bugs of which we would like to inform you. Of course, these bugs will be corrected in the next issue.
In case you find an error, please inform us thereof that we can correct said error. Please kindly contact Dr. Christian Köppel (postmaster@vim.de). We furthermore are grateful for suggestions how the product may be improved.
General Problems
Some customers had problems when loading the species lists, which all were due to a wrong or incomplete installation of the JAVA-virtual machine (JVM). This may happen e.g. due to interruption of the automatic browser updates, which was initiated by the browser itself. In this case, a browser update via the website of Microsoft is helpful.
Shifted, unclear design: Please note, that the resolution should be set to at least 1024 x 768 pixel to truly enjoy the CD-ROM.
Distribution maps with some strange coloured lines. Some menu items are only visible upon moving across with the mouse. Image quality poor: Please check whether you set the colour resolution to at least high colour (16 bit) or even better true colour (24bit or more).
